Documentary - Point of ViewMy own style of photography draws inspiration from renowned photographers Walker Evans & Henri Cartier Bresson, who were know for documenting people's every day life in an unstaged setting, such as Evans' photographs from other passengers on a bus, and Bresson's accurate timing of a man who cycled down a road every day at the same time. SkeletonA shoot dedicated to a gothic/single light/black & white style of photography. I also modelled for this shoot as I had a tracksuit set with a skeleton print which I thought would look cool with a slow shutter. As with the other shoots the images I selected, that I thought looked the best, are typically the same one with the differences being the level of zoom and a filter applied in the camera. The Man In BlackTwo lights with blue and orange gels on them were shone through a piece of muslin cloth and directed onto a piece of polystyrene, with two extra lights being shone from the front, that also had gels. These images were shot using a lens that required you to be about forty feet away to get the subject in frame, the addition of the blurred background adds quite a lot to each frame. 5 Men & A BabyA shoot I did as an add on, while out taking pictures I found a naked doll lying under a tree, so took pictures of it as it reminded me of 'Ophelia in the reeds'.
