EvaluationOn reflection of my work I am happy with what I was able to produce, I had more ideas which I intend to explore in future, as the requirement of only needing four images was a bit difficult to pick what ones I would use. The feedback from my presentation was positive so I'm happy people liked my work and what I was planning to create. My Own StyleMy own style of photography is based on point of view, whether it’s a person or a landscape, much like Walker Evans & Henri Cartier Bresson. I like to use the lens by angling it to take pictures, and using extra objects such as glasses to create an artificial zoom. To do this I’ll take pictures through the view finder of analogue/digital cameras, which makes it look really cool to me as depending on the angle it adds lens flares making it seem like you’re taking a picture from the back of a cinema. I also like how by using the view finder you get to keep the crosshairs in the image so that they can be used as direction lines. I’m only new to photography so I’m still only learning but my previous photography tutor said he was amazed at how quickly I took to it and how instead of taking regular pictures like other people did I went out of my way to find interesting compositions and add things to my scene. Also, I like to take these into digital software such as Autodesk Maya or Adobe After Effects and adjust the colour grading and saturation, and add things such as glows and distortions. The benefits of these programmes are that I can adjust the camera and add 3D objects to them, as well as create parallax to give them a greater sense of depth. Artists I AdmireThe VFX artist I admire the most is Andrew Kramer, he works as a ‘VFX Guru’ and motion designer. He created the end title sequence for Star Trek Into Darkness, as well as being the title designer for Fringe, Super 8, Almost Human, and Revolution. The first Star Trek (2009) uses as a similar end title sequence, which was modelled after Kramer’s work.
He also creates and develops plug-ins for After Effects through his website Video Copilot, where he also distributes tutorials, of which there are currently 160. Some of the plug-ins are available for free such as Saber, and FX Console. His main plug-in is Element 3D which turns After Effects into a proper 3D package. What I really like about him is how good his tutorials are, he’s really helpful and concise. The professional work he’s done is something I’d like to do myself along with being an FX TD, which I can bridge together as I can create technical effects in After Effects. For photographers I really like the work of Henri Cartier Bresson (1908 - 2004) who was a French photographer that would take pictures of people randomly in the street similar to how Walker Evans did, but he would walk along with the camera hidden in his hand and then just pull it out. He would also learn someone’s pattern of movement, such as the image below of a man on a bike who would go down this road every day at five o’clock in the afternoon.

Documentary - Point of ViewMy own style of photography draws inspiration from renowned photographers Walker Evans & Henri Cartier Bresson, who were know for documenting people's every day life in an unstaged setting, such as Evans' photographs from other passengers on a bus, and Bresson's accurate timing of a man who cycled down a road every day at the same time. SkeletonA shoot dedicated to a gothic/single light/black & white style of photography. I also modelled for this shoot as I had a tracksuit set with a skeleton print which I thought would look cool with a slow shutter. As with the other shoots the images I selected, that I thought looked the best, are typically the same one with the differences being the level of zoom and a filter applied in the camera. The Man In BlackTwo lights with blue and orange gels on them were shone through a piece of muslin cloth and directed onto a piece of polystyrene, with two extra lights being shone from the front, that also had gels. These images were shot using a lens that required you to be about forty feet away to get the subject in frame, the addition of the blurred background adds quite a lot to each frame. 5 Men & A BabyA shoot I did as an add on, while out taking pictures I found a naked doll lying under a tree, so took pictures of it as it reminded me of 'Ophelia in the reeds'.
