The final design I did for my layout along with a rendered version in watercolour, I do have a digital version but it was done by hand so I'm currently redoing it on my drawing display. A trip to Powerscourt in late 2014 with college, which was one of the field trips to get reference for Victorian style architecture. Some of the inspirations for the final piece I made.

These designs are from shapes I've seen appear in things, similar to the Rorschach tests.
I find Rorschach tests to be great sources of designs because people won't see the same thing, these are five of my favourites which I'll be expanding on further.
A tonal study I did using different mediums to demonstrate light, greyscale graphite, watercolour, and stippling respectively. I often like to find a colouring book and colour the page in as an experiment.
My favourite animated character is Maleficent from Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959) and I love how she was designed and her colour scheme.
Maleficent designer/animator: Marc Davis. One of the things I like to do while watching animated features, particularly Disney ones, is to pause the film at random moments and to draw parts of the scene out, such as this facial expression sheet I did from Disney's Tarzan (1997) where Kala first finds baby Tarzan in the tree-house.
Kala supervising animator: Russ Edmonds. I grew up watching the work of Andreas Deja, I love it so much. He is my favourite animator, how he conveyed emotions so easily always amazed me.
